Food Bioterrorism: Institute of Food Technologists' Expert Panel for FDA

 

Dr. Coughlin has been serving for the past year and a half on the IFT Expert Panel on Food Bioterrorism, a Task Order contract on chemical and microbial threat assessment for the U.S. FDA's Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN).  In June 2003, the Expert Panelists received the "CFSAN Director's Special Citation for outstanding contributions to CFSAN through expert and independent food security threat assessments."

    

Acrylamide in Foods: American Chemical Society Spring Meeting, 2004

 

Dr. Coughlin will be presenting an invited lecture at the American Chemical Society's three-day symposium on "Chemistry and Safety of Acrylamide in Food" during the Spring Meeting at the end of March in Anaheim

Dr. Coughlin presented testimony on October 17, 2003 at the Prop 65

Carcinogen Identification Committee (CIC) Meeting in Sacramento.

Dr. Coughlin presented the opening invited lecture and chaired the day-long symposium on

"International Update on Acrylamide in Foods" held September 18, 2003 in Atlanta.
